From Championship Court to Treasure: The Artsman Story

In the heart of Cincinnati, where the echoes of basketball games linger long after the final buzzer, stands our workshop, warehouse, and offices of Artsman. This is where the magic of game-used sports memorabilia comes to life, where dreams are woven into the fabric of history, and where the spirit of competition finds its eternal home in the hands of fans around the globe.

The Origins of Artsman

The story of Artsman is deeply personal to me. My name is Christopher Rose, and I've been here since the beginning. It all started in 2016, when the Cleveland Cavaliers clinched their historic NBA Championship victory, coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the NBA Championship—the first for Cleveland. Amidst the city's euphoria, a group of passionate individuals from Cincinnati, including myself, saw an opportunity. A random meeting with the company that manufactures the court here in Cincinnati led us to pivot our focus and help the Cavaliers monetize their championship court. Knowing it held the essence of victory, the sweat and tears of countless athletes, and memories of a lifetime, we embarked on a journey to transform that Championship court into something extraordinary.

Together, we set out to convert that Championship court into memorabilia that would resonate with fans' hearts and memories. However, the journey hasn't been solitary or easy. Some partners have since departed, each leaving their mark on our story. Despite these challenges, our commitment to our craft and love for the game remained steadfast. Basketball courts are unique in that they retain the memories of past games, sometimes spanning decades. No other sport has a playing surface that carries stories in the same way.

The Growth of Artsman

Throughout the years, we faced moments of doubt, struggle, and uncertainty. At times, it felt like our dream was slipping away, but we pressed on, driven by our shared passion and belief in the power of what we were creating. Slowly, our hard work began to pay off. Our game-used memorabilia gained recognition, our passion ignited the hearts of fans, and our humble workshop became a beacon of sports history and nostalgia.

Since those early days, we've worked with dozens of top basketball teams, both collegiate and professional. We've even expanded to other sports, curating sports artifacts and sharing them with fans who love the games and teams they represent. As I reflect on our journey, I'm filled with pride and gratitude, not just for what we create but also for our team that crafts each piece with care. Every challenge, sacrifice, and connection has shaped Artsman into what it is today—and will be in the future.

Looking to the Future

As I look to the future, I do so with hope and the confidence that no matter what challenges come our way, we'll face them head-on. We will introduce new products that push the boundaries of sports memorabilia, providing even more unique pieces for fans to cherish. We’ll continue to expand our collaborations with additional NCAA and NBA teams, bringing their court stories to life in creative ways. We are exploring other sports to create memorabilia from diverse playing surfaces, further broadening our reach.
